The Journey

Welcome Home (8–16 weeks)
This session is all about helping you settle into life with your new puppy.
We'll chat about:
Toilet training
Sleep routines
Socialisation
Building confidence
Recall foundations
I will also capture those tiny puppy features you'll wish you could freeze forever.
Included: Training check-in + adventure photography session.

Teenage Adventures (5–8 months)
Adolescence can be challenging, but it can also be one of the most rewarding stages.
We'll focus on:
Recall around distractions
Loose lead walking
Confidence building
Enrichment ideas
Navigating teenage behaviours
I will document how much your puppy has grown and the bond you've built together.
Included: Training check-in + adventure photography session.

Young Adult (10–14 months)
By now, your puppy is becoming the dog you've been raising all along.
We'll focus on:
Refining skills
Adventure readiness
Long-term goals
Maintaining training success
This final session celebrates everything you've achieved together.

Why I offer Holiday Stays.
I started Sun Hound because I wanted to create the kind of place I'd feel completely comfortable leaving Oat.
A place where dogs are treated like family, not just another booking.
Postnatal Puppy Care
The first few weeks of a puppy's life are incredibly important.
I provide thoughtful support for both mum and puppies, including overnight care, monitoring, handling, early learning experiences, and guidance for new puppy owners.
My goal is to help puppies get the very best start in life while supporting breeders through this special (and often exhausting) stage.

Invoices & Payments
Every holiday stay, training stay, and service includes an invoice.
✹ Bank transfer or cash accepted.
✹ Payment terms are outlined on your invoice.
✹ Longer stays can be paid in full up front or split into two payments.

FOR YOUR DOG
Nobody knows your dog quite like you do. While I'll always advocate for the dogs in my care, I also want you to feel empowered to advocate for your own dog.
Whether you have a question, concern, idea, or gut feeling, I want you to know that you're always welcome to bring it up. The best decisions are made together. Your dog's well-being is at the centre of everything I do.
Science-Based Care & Training
Positive Reinforcement, Relationship First
I believe dogs learn best when they feel safe. Everything I do is based on positive reinforcement and current behavioural science, with a focus on building trust, confidence, and real-life skills.
The relationship you have with your dog is what matters most to me. Dogs are allowed to be dogs, people are allowed to be people, and perfection isn't the goal. My goal is to help dogs and their humans enjoy life together with greater confidence, understanding, and connection.
